The property was acquired in 1921 for a recited purchase price of $8,000 and for the next fifteen years it was rented only for grazing purposes, the rentals not exceeding the amount of the taxes. From 1932 to 1935 the taxes, averaging about $6.00 a year, were allowed to become delinquent.
